Our colleague organizations play important roles in helping grantmakers make the most of their giving. We encourage you to access the organizations that fit your needs.

Regional Associations are membership organizations that serve donors, funders, and sometimes nonprofits in particular geographic areas.

Affinity Groups are membership organizations of grantmakers with common interests. ASF is considered an Affinity Group of the Council on Foundations.

Center for Strategic Philanthropy and Civil Society

Sanford School of Public Policy, Duke University
The Center produces programming with ASF that stimulates communication, collaboration, and problem solving around pressing issues of public policy and philanthropy.

Grantmakers for Education

GFE members are grantmakers working to change programs, systems, and institutions from pre-K through higher education. ASF, GFE and Social Venture Partners produced Improving Public Education: A Guide for Donors to Make a Difference, available for purchase or free download.

GuideStar

GuideStar offers discounts to ASF members on Charity Check - a one-stop solution to performing your foundation’s due diligence. GuideStar’s profile of your foundation is an important way to communicate with grantseekers - and everyone else looking at your foundation online.

Project Streamline

A collaboration of eight organizations, Project Streamline is working to improve grant application and reporting in ways that reduce costs for both grantmakers and grantseekers.

Social Venture Partners

A network of accomplished individuals who combine financial resources, professional skills, and a passion for philanthropy. SVP partners work with promising nonprofits to leverage collective expertise and resources for maximum community impact.

The National Center for Family Philanthropy

Dedicated to encouraging families and individuals to create and sustain their philanthropic missions. ASF family foundation members are eligible for an exclusive program with NCFP.

The Philanthropy Roundtable

This association helps nonprofit professionals and private donors achieve their charitable objectives and access a donor community interested in strategies and programs that work
