Making Board Meetings a Joyful Experience

To help make board meetings a joyful experience, this family-run foundation has a special tradition they call the “Wall of Joy.” All prospective grantee names are printed large on card stock and put up on the boardroom wall. Hidden underneath each one, staff has printed out the impact this organization will have on society. Once grants are approved, the top sheets are removed, leaving the board to celebrate the impact/change in the world they’re helping to make happen.
