1:00-2:00 p.m. ET
Four distinct generations coexist today, and their different experiences affect their approaches to philanthropy, learning, and communication. Learn to recognize the uniqueness of each generation and their shared values, and advance your work with joy and meaning. Hear from experts in the field and from real philanthropic families about how they are engaging successfully across the generations.
Webinar speakers are:
Danielle Oristian York is a director at 21/64, the nonprofit consulting division of the Andrea and Charles Bronfman Philanthropies specializing in next generation and multi-generational strategic consulting for families. She speaks and consults with families and their advisors on multigenerational engagement and empowering the next generation.
Bobby Thalhimer was first tapped to serve as the president of the William B. Thalhimer, Jr. & Family Foundation(now a component fund of The Community Foundation in Richmond, VA) after he graduated from college. He reports that managing the family foundation as an aside to his banking career strongly influenced his decision 20 years later to enter the nonprofit field professionally.
Says Bobby, “Working together inter-generationally in our family has solidified the values that we all share.”
We’ll also be joined by Bobby’s daughter, Jill Thalhimer Campbell, to hear her perspective on giving when multiple generations are at the table.
