21/64 offers services to individuals, families, businesses, and foundations in times of generational transition - including consultation, resource materials, networks and communication vehicles. The focus is multigenerational.

BoardSource offers small foundations a variety of publications, consulting services, and a free board information center.

Charity Navigator provides a free on-line charity evaluator, offering in-depth, objective ratings and analysis of the financial health of America’s largest charities.

Council on Foundations produces a large number of publications and conferences for grantmakers. ASF is an affinity group of CoF.

Dialogues on Civic Philanthropy is a collaborative effort to further the discussion of fundamental questions in the world of philanthropy. It is a project of Hudson Institute's Bradley Center for Philanthropy and Civic Renewal, along with 7 other foundations and associations, including ASF.

Forum of Regional Association of Grantmakers, a network of regional associations of grantmakers that helps expand, enhance and explain philanthropy.

The Foundation Center offers tools, programs and resources for charities and the grantmakers supporting them. They have online resources as well as 5 regional learning centers.

GrantCraft is a project from the Ford Foundation offering resources for grantmakers on the tools and techniques of effective grant making. Among the tools available are guides, videos, and case studies that present the practitioner's view of philanthropy. ASF members receive a 20% discount on purchase of GrantCraft materials. The Grants Management Network provides a forum to exchange information about grants management and its relevance to efficient and effective grantmaking.

GuideStar promotes philanthropy by helping donors, institutional funders, and charities become more informed, effective, and efficient. Update your GuideStar report to communicate with grantseekers and everyone else looking up your foundation online.

Independent Sector is a coalition of charities, foundations, corporations and individuals. IS focuses on research, publications, conferences and promoting policies to mobilize the charitable sector. 

International Donors' Dialogue encourages individuals and family foundations to support international causes and projects

The
National Center for Family Philanthropy is dedicated to encouraging families and individuals to create and sustain their philanthropic missions. They provide training and consulting, and produce an excellent collection of publications.

Resource Generation offers a variety of programs for young people with wealth to explore how their financial resources relate to social justice and provide tools for them to take action.

Returning Results is a document produced by the Planning and Evaluation department of The Pew Charitable Trusts, describing the system of determining and evaluating philanthropic investments at Pew. Its purpose is to share the approach that the Trusts have developed to guide decisions about this vital aspect of the foundation's work with other organizations and grantmakers.

The Support Center for Nonprofit Management provides management training and consulting to nonprofit and public interest organizations. The Web site has their workshop catalog, an online dialogue on management, leadership and organizational issues. It also links to information on nonprofit financial management, fund raising, strategic planning, board development and risk management.

TechFoundation is a Cambridge-based public charity that delivers technology, expertise and capital to help nonprofits.
