About ASF Data & Research

ASF’s signature Foundation Operations & Management Report is the tool for small foundation benchmarking. It contains 50 pages of data and commentary on small foundation administration, grantmaking, boards, and investments.

Our Foundation Salary and Benefits Report is available as a complimentary download to members. For non-members, it comes as a supplement to our Foundation Operations & Management Report.

We divide our research into two parts: a Salary & Benefits Survey (January-March) and an Operations & Management Survey (May-June). By isolating the salary and benefits components, we are able to collect data and report back on those topics much earlier in the year, as requested by our members.

In 2010 we are conducting a series of snapshot polls in lieu of the Operations & Management Survey.
